Dear F_M list.... it has been a while since I have been in touch regarding
Ellis Paul... here is the update which (forgive me) is in press release
form....

The Farrelly Brothers, writers, producers and directors of two of the
largest grossing movies of the last decade, “Dumb And Dumber” and “There’s
Something About Mary” have chosen Boston based singer songwriter, Ellis
Paul’s song “The World Ain’t Slowin’ Down” as the featured song in their next
release. The movie “Me, Myself and Irene” will be in theaters around the
globe starting June of 2000. Starring Jim Carrey who is a Rhode Island state
trooper who is suffering from schizophrenia. Following medical treatment, he
is assigned the job of transporting a female felon, Irene, (Rene Zelleweger)
back to New York State. During their journey, he forgets to bring his
medication allowing both of this personalities to surface and battle for the
love of their beartiful prisoner.
Ellis’ song is the feature song of the movie and will be played prominantly
twice during the film. The New England based Farrelly Brothers are Ellis Paul
fans. Peter Farrelly has gone so far as to call Ellis Paul a "national
treasure" in a recent interview. Ellis' song will be on the Elecktra Records
soundtrack to the film featuring: The Goo Goo Dolls, The Offspring, Third Eye
Blind, Smash Mouth, The Push Stars, Ben Folds Five, and others.
Ellis' long awaited "Live" record, a 2 CD set on Rounder/Philo Records, will
be in stores on March 14th. The recording captures the magic of Ellis' live
show in front of capacity audiences at an historic Theater outside of Harvrd
Square.. He will be debuting 7 new, never recorded songs in the mix. Ellis’
is joined on stage at various times with his friends Vance Gilbert, Patty
Griffin, and Chris Trapper of The Push Stars.

Let me know if you have any questions....
