Dear F_M readers and friends,

Grassy Hill is delighted to present the return of rising Boston
singer-songwriter JESS KLEIN at our next house concert on Sunday afternoon,
March 5, 2000, at 3 P.M. in our 1750 farmhouse in the beautiful hills of
Lyme, CT.

Jess has been incredibly busy lately, recording and performing and zipping
around the country. She was nominated for a Boston Music Award for best
vocalist. There are new recordings coming, lots of touring, and more news
than *we* can keep straight - but it's all there at http://www.jessklein.com
since this is our modern futuristic age. Anyway, I heard some of the new
material at her Folk Alliance 2000 showcase, and it sounds amazing, so we're
in for quite a treat.

Opening for Jess will be special guest JONATHAN POINTER, a New York based
"son of Missouri" whose recent album _scarecrows burn_ has generated a lot
of interest. Jonathan has a smoky, somewhat bluesy style that should get us
all in the listening mood. More on Pointer (as he is sometimes known) at
http://jonathanpointer.com .

As always, we have a coffee and dessert reception at 2:30pm before the show,
so come early and say hello, especially if this is your first show in a
while - I always say we can't go home until somebody makes at least one new
friend! The suggested performer donation is $12 (or more if you're feeling
generous) - it all goes to the musicians, I just pass the hat at
intermission.

For reservations and directions to Grassy Hill, email us at
concerts@grassyhill.org or call 860-434-8208 and press 3. We're looking
forward to seeing you!
