I read in our Folk Roots magazine, here in the UK, that
editor Ian A. Anderson is saying that very few folk artists
across the pond make it onto American radio. That means
little to me because I have many American friends who have
large collections of Irish and UK artists and they probably
don't listen to the radio anyway. I certainly didn't get my
collection of American artists by listening to it either.

However the cross the transatlantic cross fertilisation
continues. Kate Rusby's marvellous Sleepless album has Tim
O'Brien and Darrell Scott playing on it. Kate shared a stage
on the Isle of Wight last week with a friend and talented
English musician about to take to the road in America with
Joan Baez again.

A review of the gig, if you are interested is at:

long to click . . .)
