Michael Smith (author of the Dutchman, Spoon River, Dead Egyptian Blues,
etc.etc.etc.) is now in Colorado until July 2!

1) Renowned composer MICHAEL SMITH, a veteran of the Chicago folk scene
will
conduct a SONGWRITER's WORKSHOP on Saturday, June 24, 2000, from
1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Swallow Hill, 71 East Yale Avenue, Denver, Colorado
80210. Attendance is limited to 25 persons, and the tuition/fee is $40,
with a discount offered to recipients of this list. To reserve your spot,
please call
Swallow Hill at (303) 777-1003. The office is open from 11am-9pm
Monday-Thursday, 11am-5pm Friday and Saturday, and 1-5pm Sunday.
2) The Colorado Music Association meeting on Sunday, June 25, at 6:00 p.m. at
the Soiled Dove, 20th and Market Streets in Denver, and will feature a
songwriters circle with renowned composers Michael Smith, Richie Furay,
Richard Dean and Preacherboy, which should prove highly insightful. The
discussion and performances of the four participants will continue into the
evening and afford a highly
entertaining as well as informative program. Everyone is welcome and
encouraged to attend and as usual there is no admission fee.
