Hi all…We have lots of news, but first, here is an update about our April 
8th concert:  Five O'Clock Shadow has cancelled.  Why?  Well, it seems that 
more than one person was booking them, and ours was the second 
booking.  We're very disappointed, but happily, our loss is also our 
gain:  Lori McKenna and Meghan Toohey will perform on the 8th.

Most of you already know Lori McKenna.  A year ago she played at Fox Run 
with Colleen Sexton to a full house during a snowstorm.  Since then the 
accolades for Lori and her CD, "Paper Wings and Halo" have continued to 
accumulate!  Her CD was selected as one of the Top 10 albums of 1998 by The 
Boston Globe and heralded as "the most impressive local debut since Dar 
Williams' The Honesty Room."  The listeners and staff at WUMB 91.9 FM in 
Boston then voted Lori new artist of the year, in April she took home the 
Boston Music Award for Outstanding Debut Contemporary Folk Act, and in May 
she won the Boston Lilith Fair talent search, which snagged her a spot on 
this year's Lilith Fair Boston show.  Right now she is working on her 
second CD which will be produced by the incredible Crit Harmon.

Meghan Toohey is a relative newcomer on the scene who is creating quite a 
buzz throughout the Boston music scene.  This year she is a Boston Music 
Award nominee for Outstanding New Singer/Songwriter.  A rocking electric 
guitarist, Meghan is currently working on her debut CD.  Not only will she 
open for Lori, but she will also play with her.  If you have already seen 
them play together, you will know how great they are.

This show will become part of Laurie and Jonathan's new live CD.  Come be a 
part of history!  The concert is free, but donations towards the album will 
be appreciated.

Monday, May 8th - CHRISTINE KANE at 7:00pm
We have had many, many requests for Christine's return after her sold-out 
show in January, 1998.  Unfortunately, our schedules have not matched; so, 
we did not want to miss this opportunity, even though it is on a 
weekday.  This will be a pass-the-hat show.
