[FM] A Temporary Concert Clip

I checked with Friend, List Mom and Netiquette Specialist Alan to see if it
would be okay to post some directions to navigate to a recent concert clip
of mine which has found its way online.
It's always so hard to communicate nuance in an e-mail, but I'll try with
what I hope is interpreted as a courteous and non-whining disclaimer.
Although I am always eager to venture out into the larger world, I play
primarily churches. It's been this way for about twenty years. I love it.
Churches are, generally, even more bereft of good acoustic music than the
culture-at-large. So I have a great amount of fun and have earned a modest
living these many years.
But, I try very hard to be a good songwriter and not a propagandist. I'm
always sensitive to the often legitimate concerns of those who have
gotten bamboozled and trapped in some sort of "Amway meetin' for Jesus"
deal. So, that's my gentle disclaimer for those who would rather click to
the next message.
I would basically like to write as well as Pierce Pettis or Bob Franke do
when I grow up, but I'm somewhat happily stuck with being me these days!
One time I told Pierre Bensusan that I was certainly glad he couldn't be
everywhere at once, so guys like me could still have a job.
:-)
Best regards, Bob Bennett

for you):

>Once on the archive page, click on the Real Video logo next to the
>Wednesday, 3/7/01 entry for "Special Prayer".
>
>(The evening is called "Special Prayer" because rather than give a
>conventional teaching, Pastor Ray decided to devote this night to prayer,
>prompted in large part by the nearby shooting at Santana H.S. in Santee, CA).
>
>The whole evening is 2 hours 11 minutes ... my portion starts about 34
>minutes into it and you should able to scroll forward although it may take

>The set list:
>
>Holy God We Praise They Name (a version of the hymn from my Catholic boyhood)
>Carpenter Gone Bad?
>The Night Shift (with Santos on percussion)
>Lord Of The Past
>Heart Of Hearts *
>
>(* The classic Mark Heard song that I so dearly love ... given the theme
>of the night in the wake of the shooting at the high school, I couldn't
>think of a more timely song to play.)
