ps anyone know a promoter named pat bailey? i just met him and might
get to do some work with him...
---------------------------------
hi fellow montana music fans and musicians and people i thought might
be interested in this!
i have created an internet list/listserve for us! i want it to
support the evolution of a the folk scene in missoula and the rest of
montana. so if you are a folk fan, a musician, a promoter, or just
interested in supporting or being part of the growing folk scene,
please join it! and please forward this message to anyone else you
know who might be interested.
i was inspired by some of the great music i saw at first night last
week (ie jenn adams, john floridis, tom catmull, amy martin...).
at first i didnt know if this list was needed since the missoula
folklore society has a list, but i think that one specifically about
music can't hurt...
Official description:
This group is for fans of folk music is Montana. Including
contemporary folk, traditional folk, singer-songwriter, folk-rock,
folk-pop, bluegrass, whatever. My goal is to create a community of
fans that would help convince musicians from other areas of the
country to come play in Montana (I am from Boston originally and know
many great artists out there), and just generally be a nice
community. :)
to get on the list, go here: http://www.egroups.com/group/folkmusic-montana
thanks!!
