Well, from the late '70s into the mid '80s there was 
rather extensive coverage
of Kerrville in both Dallas newspapers.  I remember when 
Pete Oppel was music 
critic for the Morning News he was a regular at the 
festival for several years.

The Times Herald critic (I believe was Bruce Nixon) also 
covered Kerrville.

It is possible true that in recent years coverage has 
been lacking, but that
has not always been the case.
