[FM] Richard Gates

Does anyone know how bassist Richard Gates is doing?  I know his health was 
bad last year and that people like Patty Larkin and others were doing 
benefits for him.  For those of you who don't read liner notes, Richard has 
been on almost every Patty Larkin album as well as many other folk albums 
including one of mine.  What a sweetheart and one of the best bass players 
I've ever worked with.
