> [Alan Sez: I saw John Hiatt in Rochester just before he released "bring
the family" in a little club called Jazzberries with about 50 other people.
One of the best concerts I've ever seen. There are lots of great people out
there working the small rooms. And there will continue to be if we just
support them.]

I just saw John Hiatt performing solo at the Strawberry Music Festival over
Memorial Day weekend to an audience of 3000-4000 folks or something... he
put on just about the best set I've ever seen him do... did at least 3
encores. put his heart into every song. about the only annoyance is he
was using some kind of kick drum pad, or miked platform or something that he
was stomping on with his left foot. The monotone bass note this produced
was cranked up a too loud, and became somewhat annoying at times.
