A few words abaout the 2 groups I represent:
Telyneg is a combination of Wlelsh triple harp master Robin Huw Bowen, with
Eiry Palfrey doing spoken word and Heather Jones singing. They have just
completed a very successful Christmas tour where they performed holiday
music, poems and stories with a holiday theme. The group is planning a
non-Christmas tour for the future that will combine folk tales and music in
a uniquely Welsh way. .

The City Waites are English roots music from the 16th & 17th Centuries.
They were last on my roster in the 1980s and are often thought of as an
early music group, but should be equally liked by Celtic & UK music fans.
Their focus is the popular music of the the Renaissance, with some Baroque
& Medieval material for vairety. They combine lute, cittern, viola da
gamba, voices, fiddles and hurdy-gurdy and they material ranges from the
dance hits, and broadside ballads to Playford tunes played with their
original exuberance. Some of you will have heard their music on various
BBC productions and in the movie Elizabeth.
