[FM] Chris Bauman~ "The Ice Beneath You"

i've just got to stick in my 1 cent about chris & his recent book...
"The Ice Beneath You".
(hope some of you caught chris's interview with terry groce on NPR
yesterday!)

as many of y'all already know...
chris has been part of our music community/family for many years.
he's a wonderfully gifted songwriter, friend to many, performer &
downright shiny light to hang with & swap tunes with around a campfire.
in addition to performances at folk clubs, coffeehouses & festivals, he
was a participating member/fixture of "camp hoboken"
(often materializing at folk events on & off the beaten path, & was once
sighted hovering around a cheezeball faux fireplace at nerfa;)   there
had been few chris sightings over the past 2 years, because he was busy
with the book.

the book title is taken from a john gorka song...the book ...is
mesmerizing. i could NOT put it down. it's chris at his very best. he
paints razor sharp portraits of bigger than life situations in places
most of us never get to go... with characters we only imagine in dreams,
& hope to create in our very best songs...  if we're lucky!

& 1 more thing. i'm posting this because i'm hearing many folks who've
attempted to contact me over the past weeks for bookings & music issues
