[NewCD] Phil Cohen & Patricia Ford: Caution to the Wind

Folk singers Phil Cohen & Patricia Ford have released a new CD, "Caution
to the Wind."  The album will be available in record stores across the
US through Redeye Distribution.

Phil Cohen is both a songwriter and a well known labor organizer in the
Carolinas.  His material is written from life on the road and ranges
from haunting love ballads to gritty labor tunes.  Patricia Ford is a
critically acclaimed vocalist with a unique gift for harmonies.  The
album is an eclectic presentation of folk ballads and acoustic country.
It features a diverse array of guest artists including Clay Buckner (of
the Red Clay Ramblers) and Jon Shain on guitar and mandolin.

"Phil Cohen balances an instinctive sense of melody with a poet's ear
for language and imagery.  He's listened carefully to the world and
given it back to us enhanced," said renowned folk artist Si Kahn.

Phil Cohen & Patricia Ford released their first CD, "Fortunes of the
Highway" in 1997.  The album has received extensive radio play across
the US, Europe and Australia.  In 1999, two of the tracks were top 10
hits at mp3.com.
